Marinara Sauce

4 garlic cloves
1 large onion
8 cups crushed tomatoes
2 teaspoons sea salt
2 tablespoons organic cane sugar
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons basil
1 teaspoon oregano leaf
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup water
1/8 teaspoon cayenne (optional)
 
Blend onion and garlic with 1 cup of water and 1 cup crushed tomatoes, Place in pot with remaining ingredients. Stir together. Simmer for an hour to blend flavors. 
 
Makes 7 cups
