Smokey Mountain Chili
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 medium onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups canned tomatoes diced
1 cup water
1 teaspoon McKay Beef Seasoning (Vegan Special)
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon vegan Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon sea salt
2 cups canned chili beans (do not drain)
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes or to taste (optional)
Heat olive oil in medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Sauté onion in olive oil until clear. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to very low and simmer to 1 to 2 hours.
Yields: (6) 1 cup servings
